How do I secure my reservation?
To guarantee your room in our calendar, we require a major credit card at the time of booking, and a deposit equal to one night’s stay will be processed. While a credit card is necessary to secure the space, you are welcome to settle your remaining balance upon arrival using either cash, traveler's checks or any major credit card.
Is there a minimum stay requirement?
We generally require a two-night minimum stay to help maintain the steady, quiet atmosphere of the house. However, a one-night reservation may be possible depending on our current availability. We encourage you to call us directly to inquire about single-night stays.
What is the booking fee?
At the time you make your reservation, a non-refundable booking fee of $50 is charged. This amount is credited directly to your invoice upon arrival.
What is the cancellation policy?
Notification of cancellation is required two days prior to your scheduled day of arrival. If you cancel your entire reservation, or any part of it, after that two-day window, your credit card will be charged for all of the nights cancelled.
Do you recommend travel insurance?
Because travel can be unpredictable due to illness, family emergencies, or weather, we strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance. This helps cover the financial risk associated with a late cancellation.
What is included with breakfast?
Your room rate includes a delicious breakfast served in our dining room. You will find fresh fruit, organic honey yogurt, organic hard-boiled eggs, and house-made granola, alongside a selection of breads, jams, and jellies. Each day also features a warm entree such as fresh-made waffles, pancakes, quiches, French toast, or omelets, and an assortment of teas and juices. Breakfast wouldn't be breakfast without GREAT coffee!
What are the breakfast hours?
Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 9:30 AM Monday through Friday. On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, we serve from 8:30 to 10:00 AM.
What should I know about arriving at the guest house?
Our front desk is staffed from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM. We ask that you please let us know your expected arrival time and keep us updated if your plans change. If you plan to arrive after 4:00 PM, or if travel delays push your arrival past that time, please call or email us. We will explain our very simple late check-in procedure so you can settle in comfortably.
What if I plan to arrive after 4:00 PM?
Our front desk is staffed daily from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Please let us know when you expect to arrive and keep us updated if your plans change. If you are planning to arrive after 4:00 PM, or if you are concerned that a flight delay or traffic might delay your arrival, please call or email us. We will explain our very simple late check-in procedure so you can settle in easily.
How does check-out work?
Check-out time is 11:00 AM. We are not in a hurry to see you leave and welcome you to use the house all day on the day of your departure. We will gladly hold your luggage until 4:00 PM while you have coffee or tea, read the paper, work on your computer, relax on the front porch or in our common rooms.
Who is permitted in the guest rooms?
To ensure the privacy and security of the house, occupancy of the guest rooms is strictly limited to registered guests.
Can I bring children to the guest house?
We are not able to accommodate children under eight years of age. We welcome older children who would enjoy the mature and conversational atmosphere of our breakfast table and common spaces.
Are pets allowed at the guest house?
We are not able to accommodate pets.
What is the policy regarding smoking in the house?
The Woodley Park Guest House is a strictly smoke-free environment. For the comfort of all who stay here, smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the house. Please be aware that smoking on the property will result in a penalty fee equal to two nights of room rental.
Does the guest house have televisions or radios?
To ensure a peaceful and reflective environment for every guest, there are no televisions or radios in the guest house. We invite you to enjoy the quiet of the 1907 townhouse and the conversation of the house. You are welcome to watch programs or listen to music on your personal electronic devices.
Parking & Electric Vehicle Charging
Is parking available at the guest house?
Onsite, in-and-out parking is available for an additional fee. Because parking space in our historic neighborhood is extremely limited, a reservation is mandatory and must be made at the same time you book your room. We may not be able to accommodate any vehicle that has not been registered and confirmed with us in advance of your arrival.
Do you provide electric vehicle (EV) charging?
Yes, we have a charging station available for guests traveling with electric vehicles. An additional fee applies for vehicle charging. Because we have limited charging capacity, use of the station MUST be reserved in advance when you make your reservation.
